Changes are on the horizon!....With the coming of warmer weather, we are expecting a wonderful bounty of produce from our local farm, Yancy's Produce.  This is our third year ordering from the Yancy's, and we can't wait to share with you the beautiful tomatoes, zucchini, peppers, cucumbers, melons, and more that they will be supplying us.  They grew some romaine lettuce for us this year, and when it came in, I was so excited, I had to take a picture and post it on facebook!  It feels like Christmas every week when they show up with all of our goodies! 

This summer, we'll also look forward to a return of Erickson blueberries.  Last summer when they came in, we made sauces, desserts and salads with the blueberries.  It was a lot of fun experimenting and finding new uses for the blueberries!  My favorite recipe was a blueberry-cabernet sauce we served with Filet Mignon.  We'll also be expecting with some lamb from Sexton Ranch in Artois around July.  We bought some chops and roasts from Patty Sexton a few months back, and had a fantastic response.  Eugenio made a roast with herb-rubbed Lamb Leg that was outstanding.

    Our menu will be changing in response to the warmer weather and the availability of fresh, local produce.   We'll be taking a little vacation for the summer from a few of our favorites, such as prime rib stew and clam chowder.  We hate to disappoint anyone by removing an old favorite from the menu, but we also hate to miss the opportunity to bring our customers the freshest seasonal options available.  Please keep the feedback coming about what you like and what you'd like to see different.  We love customer comments.
